In accordance with the French law, all purchases will become available
only after payment in full has been made in EUROS.
Successful buyer will have to pay on the hammer price an additional charge and taxes,
the buyer’s premium of 19,734% (VAT included).

GUARANTEES
The state of preservation of the coins and their description in the catalogue has been carefully examined and are given in good faith. The authenticity of the coins is guaranteed.
Estimations indicated for each lots, in Euros are approximations and given for illustrative purposes only. They do not include the buyer’s premium.
The auctioneer or the experts are entitled to group, separate or omit lots.
The exhibition prior to the sale permitting a thorough examination, therefore no claims will be accepted after the auctioneer’s hammer has fallen.
Sizes (in cm or mm) and weights (in grammes) are only given as an indication.

BIDDINGS
To participate in the saleroom, please request a numbered bidding panel before the auction. You may register at Vinchon’s office. The panel must be shown to the auctioneer after each purchase in his favour.
The auctioneer will follow the order of catalogue’s numbers.
Usually, the beginning price is about 80% of the highest evaluation. The auctioneer sets the increment of each bid and the bidder must adhere to this process.
The highest and last bidder will be the successful buyer. If two or more bidders claim to have bid together at the fall of the hammer either by voice or by signal, the auctioneer reserves the right to continue and the lot will be put up for the sale again and all those present in the saleroom may participate in this second opportunity to bid.
Every buyer is personally liable for his purchase and cannot claim to act for a third person unless he has been registered himself as an agent.
From the moment the auctioneer’s hammer falls, sold items become the exclusive responsibility of the buyer.
French state can use a pre-emption right to acquire lots. In such case the representative announces the pre-emption right once the auctioneer hammer falls so that the final bidder is substituted and the State become the purchaser. The decision must be confirmed within fifteen days after the auction.

ABSENTEE BIDS
The auctioneer or the experts will execute the bids as they are submitted to them, especially for those unable to attend the auction, free of any extra charge.
If you wish to make a bid in writing, you should use the form included in this catalogue and send it as soon as possible at the latest 24 hours before the sale (send the original sheet but keep a copy) accompanied by your bank references and a copy of your proof of identity.
If we received two absentee bids on the same lot for the same amount, the first bid received will prevail.
Don’t forget to give us your instructions about payment and delivery of purchase.
Following the auction, an invoice will be sent to the successful bidder.

PHONE BIDS
If you wish to bid by phone before the sale, call (00 33) 1 42 97 50 00 but you must imperatively confirmed (using bidsheet) by letter or telefax (00 33) 01 42 86 06 03 with name, address and bank references.
The biddings during the sale will be accepted only for estimates higher than 5000 Euros. Please make your request in writing, accompanied by your bank references - no later than 4 days before the sale. The phone number during the sale only is (00 33) 1 48 20 00 04. The problem of telephone link cannot engage our responsability.

COLLECTION AND DELIVERY OF PURCHASE
Buyers are advised to collect successful lots as soon as possible, against payment in full after the sale.
In case of payment by check, the buyer shall collect the lots only after his check has been accredited to our account (details of our account on request).
The payments have to be made immediately after the auction in Euros when you received the invoice. Interest of 2% per month on the purchase price will be charged if payment is not received within the above period.
Payments executed in currencies other than Euros will be augmented with a treatment commission of 1.25% as charged by banks.
Delivery of lots purchases by non-resident buyers can only be made after payment full in Euros.
Shipment of purchased lots (shipping costs, postage, insurance) is at the expense and risk of the buyer. Coins cannot be sent on approval.

RESULTS OF THE SALE
Upon their demand, the results of the sale will be sent by telefax or mail.
Results are also available in the “ Gazette de l’Hôtel Drouot ”, each Friday.

In any case claim, the French text only will be taken in consideration.
